The pommel bag has two relatively long leather straps with buckles. You pull these straps under your pommel or fork. Then you adjust them to the desired length and click the buckle closed. If you have a lot of nylon strap left over, you could consider cutting it off and burning the nylon closed with a lighter to prevent fraying.
